Brain development is most dramatic between children in early infancy to three years of age. Research done by pioneers like Froebel suggest that meaningful education starts during this critical period. Froebel supported the idea that true education must help children to understand their role as creative beings.
We agree with Froebel that play is not idle behavior but a biological imperative to discover how things work. It is pleasurable activity, but biologically purposeful. Like Froebel, we hope to harness this impulse and focus a child’s play energy on specific activities designed to lead them to create meaning from their experiences.
Using Froebel Gabe instructional educational toys, we will introduce in sequential order a variety of concepts, all falling under 3 forms: Knowledge (math/science), Life (relating to the child’s world), and beauty (abstract patterns/designs).
